Asst. Prof. Begüm Aslan completed her undergraduate education at the Faculty of Dentistry of Marmara University. She received her doctoral degree in the field of Orthodontics from the Department of Orthodontics at Yeditepe University. In her doctoral research, she conducted her thesis titled "Clinical and Histomorphometric Investigation of the Effects of Alveolar Decortication Amount on Orthodontic Tooth Movement in Rats" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fulya Özdemir.
